Coast View self catering cottage ~ Port Isaac, North Cornwall

Location

Coast View is ideally situated at the top of Port Isaac village from where it is only a few minutes walk to Port Isaac harbour and Port Gaverne Cove.

Just around the corner from the house is a delicatessen where you can get fresh bread and morning papers and only two minutes walk up the hill is the co-op mini market (open till late 7 days a week). There are also two restaurants and a pub, all within minutes of the house.

A five minute stroll down the hill will take you through the village with whitewashed cottages that crowd the narrow streets leading down to the picturesque harbour. Here the local fishermen land their daily catch of fish, crab and lobster. There is a fresh fish market situated in the old pilchard cellars on the Platt and huddled around the harbour are many gift shops and galleries to browse and a working pottery. There is also a wide range of good restaurants, cafés and pubs offering local seafood and other delicacies.

A few minutes walk in the other direction from the house is Port Gaverne, a pretty sheltered cove where, at low tide, you can explore the many rock pools on the beach. Here there is also an excellent pub and restaurant that is very popular with locals and visitors alike.
